X2Y Capacitor - Imagine a multi layer capacitor but within each layer you had an additional Shield layer. These shield layers are all connected to the left and right of the SMT package. These types of specialty caps offer two features. Better EMI filtering and better Bypass/decoupling due to the ultra low inductance of these capacitors.
